The IALab is managed by two scientific leaders, one from each partner institution:
- UWC : Priscilla Baker, professor at University of the Western Cape and co-responsible of Sensor-Lab,
- CY : Pierre-Henri Aubert, professor at CY Cergy Paris University and member of LPPI laboratory.
The scientific leaders co-chair the IALab and are responsible for its development, scientific results and its day-to-day management. They co-chair, namely, the IALab’s Scientific Committee and participate in the Steering Committee (see below) with in an advisory capacity.
The IALab’s governance is composed of two separate committees:
– A Scientific Committee, chaired by the scientific leaders of the IALab, will be in charge of the validation of the scientific collaboration plan and its implementation (follow up of IALab objectives and scientific outcomes); it makes propositions to the steering committee regarding the validation of means requested by the research projects and the distribution of IALab funds;
– A Steering Committee, chaired by the heads of the partner institutions or their representatives (Vice-presidents), will be in charge of the overall administration of the IALab, its development strategy as well as of the validation of means requested by the projects and the distribution of IALab funds.
